Burnley Canal Festival 2016

Burnley Canal Festival at Burnley Wharf in the Weavers' Triangle.

Over the weekend of 28th-29th August there will be colourful boats, craft and food stalls, fun and free entertainment for all the family. The Visitor Centre will have specially extended opening times and craft demonstrations.

To celebrate 200 years since the completion of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in 1816, the Visitor Centre will be holding a special exhibition looking at the history of the canal in Burnley.

Guided Walks 2016

Guided towpath walk by the canal in Burnley, Weavers' Triangle

There will be a guided towpath walks through the Weavers' Triangle on:

Sunday 1st May
Sunday 11th September

and along Burnley Embankment on:

Sunday 29th May

The walks commence at 2.15pm from the Weavers' Triangle Visitor Centre and finish with a visit to the engine house at Oak Mount Mill.
