Burnley Canal Festival 2018

Burnley Canal Festival at Burnley Wharf in the Weavers' Triangle.

Over the weekend of 25th-26th August there will be colourful boats, craft and food stalls, fun and free entertainment for all the family. The Visitor Centre will have specially extended opening times and craft demonstrations.

A Journey Through An Archive

April - October 2018

The 1960s saw the beginning of considerable redevelopment of Britain, Burnley was no exception. These changes have been preserved in the photographic archives of the Burnley Express newspaper which have been donated to the Burnley Civic Trust. With the help of students from UCLAN, the exhibition will showcase some of the best images from this period of time.

A Drone's Eye View

April - October 2018

See Burnley' from a unique perspective through the use of stunning drone photography. The exhibition will be on display at the Visitor Centre throughout the season.

Guided Walks 2018

Guided towpath walk by the canal in Burnley, Weavers' Triangle

There will be a guided towpath walks through the Weavers' Triangle on:

Sunday 6th May

Sunday 9th September.

The walks commence at 2.15pm from the Weavers' Triangle Visitor Centre and finish with a visit to the engine house at Oak Mount Mill.
